Premium Pacific AysénCoho Salmon
Now available exclusively at Save-On-Foods in the Vancouver Area.
AysénCoho is immune to sea live and ISA virus, due to the strength and tightness of its scales, so chemical treatments are not required. It is a robust fish grown in its natural habitat of the Pacific Ocean, leading to a farming process that doesn't require any antibiotic treatments for most of the fish.
AysénCoho is grown in half the time compared with other salmon species, resulting in much less environmental impact. Moreover, it is transported by sea, with a carbon footprint 20 times lower than the one of fresh salmon transported by plane.
AysénCoho is an excellent source of Omega-3. One serving of AysénCoho provides 3.24 grams of omega-3 fatty acids and 1.4 grams of EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids.
Sashimi Quality: The ability to eat it raw. The Coho is filleted in an isolated room, that maintains a certain temperature and is frozen within 8 hours from harvest, ensuring the safeness of the process.
AysénCoho is similar to wild sockeye with an intese and unique red color. It has a milder flacor and is less fishy compared to other salmon species.
AysénCoho is processed and frozen within eight hours of harvest providing for the highest standard in biosecurity, from our farms to the final consumer
